Dan rogers

- Owner/Director

- Head Boxing Coach

BIO:

After being a former elite level boxer having competed since 2006 I decided to step into boxing in a coaching capacity, thus RTC was born.

I have boxed at state, national, & international level. I have spent time abroad training, and competed in Cuba with both the junior & senior national team. I have also been fortunate enough to work with some renowned coaches within Australia and abroad, including previously working as a Boxing Australia regional development coach, and currently working on the board of Boxing WA.

Since then I have guided many boxers from as young as 11 years old through the same boxing pathway, and this has produced good results. I am actively invested in the development of boxing here in WA, and this starts right here at RTC.

BIO:

Shortly after migrating to Australia I walked into Ringfit as a complete beginner to learn to box and compete.  I was told to show commitment, turn up every day, and trust the process. A year later I had my first fight and 7 years later I’ve never looked back. I love nothing more than to be in the gym on the grind pushing to always want to be better and where the limits are.

I started coaching after being sidelined due to injury, and this has given me a new perspective on boxing. I love learning and helping others improve.

BIO:

I started boxing to get my fitness up for an upcoming soccer season. I started at another gym where I was there for a year and realized I enjoyed the sport, I wanted to develop into an elite level boxer and that’s when I started looking for other gyms to progress me forward.

Nearing the end of 2019 I found Ringfit, I wasn’t the fittest, strongest or smartest but I showed up everyday and gave each day everything I could. Fast forward 4 years I’m now fighting at elite level and pursuing my dreams of representing Australia in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

I owe it all to myself, my family and Coach Dan. Plus my team at Ringfit that push me everyday. I’m an Ethiopian who was born in a refugee camp in Sudan, fighting in Australia to become one of the best. If I can do it what’s stopping you?

BIO:

I started boxing from the age of 8, and began fighting at state level from 13 and at a national level from 15.

After becoming an electrician and getting into the mining industry I continued to train, study, and broaden my fitness knowledge as well as training different martial arts styles (kick boxing and MMA) and S&C.

I love the challenge of developing programs, and circuits that will be challenging for all skill and fitness levels and helping people find a healthier lifestyle for themselves.

BIO:

I was first introduced to boxing back in 2014 by a friend of mine who I played soccer with. As soon as I stepped into the gym, I fell in love with the sport instantly. Boxing has created many great opportunities for me, and it’s taught me some valuable principles I use in my everyday life today, such as time management, nutrition and, most importantly, discipline.

I had my first fight at 18, which was considered a bit of a late start in boxing. However, due to my hard work and dedication, I achieved many more goals than expected. To date, I have had 98 fights and have fought some of the best Elite boxers in Australia and travelled all around the country.

I love coaching and helping the next generation improve their boxing skills, and I also enjoy sharing some of the life skills I’ve learnt from the sport. RTC is an excellent facility with a great community. My motto is Believe, and you will achieve. For someone that started boxing late, I was able to accomplish a lot by believing in myself.
