INTERMEDIATE BOXING
With many aiming to progress through our performance pathway we have developed our intermediate boxing program. This is the bridge to advanced & fight team level.
what is expected?
Our aim is to make sure you are strong in the boxing fundamentals and are in great shape to compete. Consistency is number 1, regardless of experience. We require consistent training in the gym in order to progress.
Progress assessment (intermediate tryouts) every 8-12 weeks
Hand wraps, mouth guard, sparring gloves, head gear, and a towel are required for this class. Please Pre book online through the MIND BODY app prior to coming and arrive 10 mins before each session.
What is covered in a typical class?
Classes consist of a wide range of boxing drills and partner work consisting of:
- Technique drills
- Partner work
- Shadow boxing
- Technique sparring
- Full contact competition sparring
- Heavy bag work
- Strength exercises
- Conditioning exercises
- Partner pad work
- Speed bag work
- Floor to ceiling bag work
- Skipping
- Strength & conditioning
We also have an intermediate level sparring session weekly where boxers can put into practice what they have learned in a controlled environment.
